I love Kingfishers and the folklore surrounding them is very interesting, hence I picked it to represent my twitters!
Sailors believed that if a female kingfisher sat on her eggs no storm would cross the ocean.
Many also believed that if, before a battle, a Kingfisher cries to the right victory is imminent, if it cries to the left failure.
Their beauty mesmorises me and I also take them as a good omen.
